LAKE PLACID OLYMPIC CENTER
New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority, contracted Rozell Ind. to completed the removal and prep work for a new concrete flooring installation at the Lake Placid Olympic Center. Included in the project was the removal of the ice rink's refrigerant lines which were causing the previous foundation to buckle and crack.
The scope of work included in this project:
- Removal or existing floor finishes
- Temporary protection of ceiling and walls
- Create a sealed dust proof work envelope within the operating Olympic center
- Remove existing concrete floor and abandoned studio ice rink refrigerant lines embedded in concrete
- Prepare sub-base for vapor barrier, rebar mesh, and conduit
- Pour and finish floor
- Professionally clean areas of work to make ready for owner to install new flooring
