Now Hiring Experienced: Pipefitter

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: M-F, 40-48 hours/week

Work Location: Queensbury, NY

Pay Range:  $25 - $30 per hour


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Queensbury, New York. As a Pipefitter, you will utilize your technical expertise and mechanical knowledge to interpret schematics, handle various tools, and adhere to industry standards, all while contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and project success.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Fit fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, pipeline components, plumbing fixtures, and tube bending applications with precision.
  • Use calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to ensure accurate measurements and proper alignment of piping components.
  • Conduct rigging and assembly operations on construction sites or manufacturing facilities while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and materials used; troubleshoot issues related to pipe threading, soldering, or welding defects.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar construction or manufacturing role involving pipe installation and maintenance.
  • Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing codes, ASME standards, schematics reading, and pipeline construction.
  • Ability to operate hand tools such as calipers, pipe benders, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of construction site safety practices along with experience working on construction or manufacturing sites.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with schematics for system assembly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high quality standards.
